If any person shall obstruct or hinder the zoning enforcement officer or any deputy or other person under the direction of the community development director in a performance of the duties prescribed in section 1-7G-1 of this article, or shall fail or refuse to remedy any zoning, nuisance or sign conditions as referenced in section 1-7G-1 of this article, such person shall be guilty of a class B misdemeanor and, upon conviction, subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this title.
