2-1-3: GENERAL PLAN:
A. Plan Preparation: The planning commission shall recommend a general plan, or an amendment to the general plan, for the physical development and beautification of the city, pursuant to Utah law and with all elements required by Utah law. Before such recommendation to the city council, the commission shall hold public hearings within the city in conformance with Utah law. After public hearings, the commission may adopt or amend the general plan, and shall forward its recommendations to city council.
B. Adoption Or Amendment Of Plan: The city council may:
1. Adopt, reject, or make any revisions to the proposed general plan or amendment that it considers appropriate; or
2. If the city council rejects the proposed general plan or amendment, in its sole discretion, it may provide suggestions to the planning commission for the planning commission’s review and recommendation. (Ord. 2019-12-001 § 2 (Exh. A), 12-5-2019; amd. Ord. 2020-05-005 § 2 (Exh.), 5-21-2020)
