The fire chief shall, subject to the advice and consent of the city manager, assign a person to act in the office of fire marshal. It shall be the duty and responsibility of the fire marshal to enforce all laws, ordinances and regulations pertaining to fire prevention and fire protection within the limits of the city. The fire chief may assign such other personnel as he or she deems necessary to aid the fire marshal in the furtherance of his or her duties. (Ord. 2002-02-003, 2-7-2002)
