As used in this chapter, the following words and terms shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section:

DANGEROUS WEAPON: A firearm, or an object that in the manner of its use or intended use is capable of causing death or serious bodily injury, as defined by Utah Code Annotated section 76-10-501(6), as amended.

FIREARM: A pistol, revolver, shotgun, short barreled shotgun, rifle or short barreled rifle, or a device that could be used as a dangerous weapon from which is expelled a projectile by action of an explosive, as defined by Utah Code Annotated section 76-10-501(10), as amended.

TRAP: Any device, including a “body gripping” device, which entraps, snares or snaps closed on any animal.

TRAPPING: The use or placing of any device, including a “body gripping” device, capable of trapping, snaring or snapping closed on any animal. (Ord. 2017-12-005, 12-7-2017)
