ARTICLE B. OCCUPANCY OF RENTED ROOMS BY MINORS

The following definitions are applicable to this article:

ADULT: Any competent person eighteen (18) years of age or older.

HOTEL: Any hotel, motel, apartment house or other rental units holding, or required to hold, a business license permit from the city.

MINOR CHILD: Any person seventeen (17) years of age or younger.

OCCUPANCY: Includes, but is not limited to, any type of rental, lease, sublease, or letting of hotel rooms for compensation or otherwise.

PARENT: The natural or adopted parent or relative eighteen (18) years or more of age, legal guardian, or a responsible adult authorized in writing by a parent or legal guardian of the minor child.

ROOM: Means and includes any unit or accommodation provided by a “hotel,” as defined in this section. (Ord. 3-1-92, 3-5-1992; amd. 2003 Code)
