A. Fees and other money related to civil infractions shall be paid to the finance department, except in the case of parking violations, in which case the fees are paid to the police department. Payment shall be in such manner, not inconsistent with this article, as the director of administrative services shall direct, but fees shall not be paid to the hearing examiner and/or his subordinate in any event. B. The fee for violation of a parking regulation shall be as follows:

1. Twenty-five dollars ($25.00) if paid or contested within five (5) calendar days after a notice of infraction is issued.

2. Thirty-five dollars ($35.00) if paid or contested between six (6) calendar days and ten (10) calendar days after a notice of infraction is issued.

3. Forty-five dollars ($45.00) if paid or contested between eleven (11) calendar days and fifteen (15) calendar days after a notice of infraction is issued.

4. A parking infraction not paid within fifteen (15) calendar days after the notice of infraction is issued shall, in addition to the forty-five dollar ($45.00) fee provided above, accrue additional penalty at the rate of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per month until paid. A parking infraction not paid within fifteen (15) calendar days shall be deemed to be in default and shall thereafter be subject to the remedies described in sections 6-2A-10 and 6-2A-11 of this article.

5. Notwithstanding the above, the fee for a violation of section 6-2-14 or 6-2-15 of this chapter shall be as provided in section 6-2-21 of this chapter. (Ord. 2006-07-001, 7-6-2006)
