Use of personal motorized mobility devices shall be permitted on city sidewalks upon the following conditions:

A. The operator of the personal motorized mobility device shall be at least twelve (12) years of age.

B. If the operator of the personal motorized mobility device is between twelve (12) and sixteen (16) years of age, they must be under the direct supervision of the person’s parent or guardian at all times;

C. The operator of the personal motorized mobility device shall yield the right-of-way to pedestrians and pedestrian vehicles;

D. The operator of the personal motorized mobility device shall be subject to and obey all laws applicable to pedestrians;

E. The operator of the personal motorized mobility device shall comply with the protective headgear requirements established by the Utah Department of Public Safety.

F. The operator of the personal motorized mobility device shall comply with all other state laws pertaining to such devices not in conflict with section 6-5-1 of this chapter, and this section. (Ord. 2005-05-004, 5-19-2005)
