A. Permit Required:

1. It shall be unlawful to erect, construct, alter or reconstruct any building or structure for business, commercial and industrial purposes within the city without first securing a permit from the city council or their duly appointed and legal agent.

2. It shall be unlawful to put to use any land or existing structures within the city for any industrial purpose, without first securing a permit to do so from the city council or their duly appointed agent. (1962 Code § 4-1-2)

B. Fee For Permit: Any person may apply to the city council for a building permit by furnishing information required by the designated building official and paying in advance a permit fee in such amount as established by resolution of the city council. (1962 Code § 4-1-3; amd. 2003 Code)
