6-2A-5: RESPONSE TO NOTICE:
A. Any person to whom a notice of infraction has been issued shall respond within five (5) days thereof by:
1. Paying the fee described in section 6-2A-6 of this article;
2. Contesting the violation in the manner described in section 6-2A-7 of this article; or
3. Demonstrating financial inability to pay the applicable fee on any reasonable terms, in which event the hearing examiner may require the performance of a stipulated public service to be performed in not more than thirty (30) days in lieu of paying the fee.
B. Fees may be paid by mail, but all risk that payments may be lost in the mail shall be on the sender, and payments shall be considered made on the day received by the city and not on the day the payment is mailed. (Ord. 12-5-91, 12-19-1991)
